I can only find "supplement" protein shakes/powder. the only meal replacement shakes i find are shakes like slim fast, but those arent particularly high in protein… they are balanced meals replacements, meaning they have a considerable amount of carbs, fat, sugar, etc…. i need high protein shakes/powder, low in carbs, that works as a meal replacement. should i just get those protein powders from the GNC stores…? please help, im so confused.
If you simply want protein replacements, you can find several very good ones at Walmart. The last one I bought was about $14.00 for a large container, Whey protein (from milk) and had 20 grams of protein per serving. I have made shakes with double the amount of powder because I needed the extra protein after surgery. I also liked the Advant ( I think that’s the name) brand of shakes and bars. They have only 1-2 gms of sugar and 21 grams of protein. If you want to compare brands and ingredients a good place is drugstore.com. They carry several different brands and also those made of soy (which I don’t care for). I’m sure the GMC store could also help you out. Good Luck.
