Hi, me and my 3 friends are looking to start a retail Monster Energy Beverage store for over the summer. We already buy it wholesale for ourselves but we want to start to sell it [legally]. Can anyone tell us how to get started into selling it legally in my town? There is 3 of us, ages 15-15- and 18, so our friend whos 18 is gonna handle the legal stuff and such. We already have a building for it too.

It may sound like a good idea, but Monster and other energy drinks are already sold in stores who have an establish clientèle. Why would you want to compete with Wal-mart, or the grocery stores, convenience stores, etc who already have guaranteed traffic.

I am not sure what town you live in and maybe it is not already sold elsewhere, but I for one, would not make a trip to a specialty business to buy a single item, even to save a few cents, when I could purchase that item at a location where I need other items also, especially with the price of gas…
